Dress size guide for formal dresses

The right measurements help your dress feel comfortable, elegant, and made for you. At Creaciones Normita, we create made-to-measure dresses, so we do not rely only on generic sizing. We review your measurements, the dress style, and the fit you need for your event.

01

Basic measurements to prepare

The most important measurements are usually bust, waist, hips, and dress length. Depending on the style, we may also review shoulders, sleeve length, bust height, and final dress length.

02

How to measure at home

Use a soft measuring tape and, if possible, ask someone to help you. The tape should be firm but not tight. Wear light clothing and stand naturally.

03

Why size alone is not enough

Two people can wear the same size and still need different adjustments. Fabric, silhouette, corset structure, skirt volume, and height all affect the final fit.

04

If you live outside El Salvador

We can guide you by video call to review your measurements before moving forward with your quote. This helps make the process clearer from another country.

05

Common mistakes

Avoid measuring over thick clothing, pulling the tape too tight, or measuring dress length without considering the shoes you plan to wear.
